This weeks Top Ten Theme is New-To-Me authors that I have read in 2016:
- Ready player one by Ernest Cline:
I have never read anything by Ernest Cline before and this one is definitely my top favorite book this year. I wold definitely recommend this book and I also plan on reading armada sometime next year.
2. Serafina and the black cloak (#1) by Robert Beatty:
I read this one for a buddy read challenge at the beginning of the year and loved it. I haven’t been able to get the other books in this series but I am hoping to finish them next year.
3. Red Rising (#1) by Pierce Brown:
This one was another sci-fi book that I really enjoyed and I look forward to continuing this series again.
4. Shadow and bone (#1) by Leigh Bardugo:
I’ve heard so much about this series that i decided to try it before I read Six of crows and I absolutely loved it. This is another series that i would highly recommend.
5. Truthwitch (#1) by Susan Dennard:
I really wanted to enjoy this book but I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would. I loved most of the characters but it did take me a while to finish.
6. Evil Genius (#1) by Catherine Jinks:
I picked this book on a whim when I was at the library and decided to read it. I was definitely surprised by how much I enjoyed it even though i didn’t have it on my list and it also worked for a lot of challenges that I had been working on in Goodreads.
7. An ember in the ashes (#1) by Sabaa Tahir:
It took me a while to get to this book but I am very glad that I was able to read it. Sabaa Tahir is definitely becoming one of my favorite authors and I cannot wait to read A torch against the night.
8. Rebel of the sands (#1) by Alwyn Hamilton:
This book took me a while to finish but I really enjoyed it.
9. The Falconer (#1) by Elizabeth May:
This one took me a couple of months to read but i really enjoyed it. I can’t wait to get the second book next year.
10. The scourge (#1) by A.G. Henley:
I bought this one for free on Amazon last year and never got around to read it so i decided to give it a try back in September. I was definitely surprised by how much I enjoyed it even though it took me a while to finish but I would definitely recommend it.
So this is my list of authors that I have tried this year.
